NHRA Results: DeJoria, Pritchett, T. Gray, and Savoie collect impressive Brainerd victories

Alexis DeJoria (2nd from left) raced to her first win of the season in Funny Car, the fifth of her career, and the 250th women’s victory in NHRA history when she defeated Tommy Johnson Jr. at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd Int’l Raceway Sunday.

Her 3.906 pass at 330.96 in her Toyota Camry bettered Johnson’s 3.933 at 324.44 in his Dodge Charger R/T. It’s her first victory since 2016 when she captured the Wally at the Spring Las Vegas contest. The win puts her into 10th place after starting the weekend in 14th as the race for a spot in the Countdown for the Championship heats up.

You really appreciate every moment. This is a huge win for us.” READ FULL STORY
